Australian Pump has released a new powerful Spraymaster Delta 75 unit for weed control. The 40 BAR, 75 lpm spray unit is driven by a 13HP Honda engine and enables two operators to spray simultaneously increasing productivity and cutting spraying times.
Welcome rain in the southern states has set up conditions that will lead to explosion of weeds as soon as the weather warms. Farmers looking to minimise the time spent on weeds eradication are turning to two gun spray systems to improve efficiency.
“When there’s an outbreak of lantana, blackberries or crofton farmers need to move fast to protect livestock and prevent further infestation,” Aussie Pumps product manager Brad Farrugia said. “The new Aussie Spraymaster uses a big Honda GX390 to deliver its full 40 BAR 75 lpm potential. Set up as a ute based spray system with two gun operation, it enables farmers to halve spray times even in awkward gullies.”
The heart of the system is a Delta 75 that produces 40 BAR pressure (568 psi) and flows up to 75 lpm. This top quality Udor Italian diaphragm pump has excellent self-priming characteristics allowing it to prime from ponds, tanks or cisterns.
State-of-the-art engineering methods used in construction of the new Delta 75 pump mean maintenance is minimised and stripping a pump has been simplified. Designed to handle high corrosively liquids the diaphragms have been upgraded and are now manufactured from Desmopan material for longer life and chemical resistance.
The pump is designed to run at 540 rpm so Aussie fit a reduction gearbox between the engine and the pump. This provides a closed drive system that is both OH&S friendly as well as providing real service advantages over belt driven systems.
The pump comes fitted with an infinitely variable control valve/unloader that allows the operator to vary the pressure to suit a particular job requirement. The control unit also functions as a bypass valve that returns the liquid back to the tank when the operator closes the trigger on the spray gun. An integrated pressure gauge is supplied as part of the control kit.
Standard units come in a hot dipped galvanised scoop frame that enables a two man lift onto the back of ute during spraying season.
“The huge flow on the Aussie Spraymaster makes this a versatile machine that it can be used for weed control, sheep jetting and even fire fighting,” said Farrugia. “We also offer a range of Rapid Spray tanks to go with the Spraymasters, making it easy for any farmer to set up his own economy, two gun spray system.” he said.
To complete the system Aussie offer optional heavy duty Tommygun with hose kits that quickly attach to the controller. The 30 metre hose means there’s plenty of length to walk around big jobs like combine harvesters or cotton pickers.
The Tommygun offers users a unique adjustable spray pattern that enables the unit to go from direct jet to wide angle by moving the forward handle forward or backwards.
“The best news for farmers is that as the biggest Honda OEM in the country Aussie Pumps are able to sell the big Aussie Spraymaster for less than some lower spec’d machines in the market,” said Farrugia. “We love to support farmers with products that work well at a value packed price,” he said.
