LAWRENCE and Kerrin Sainsbury’s 301 hectare (743 acre) Biloela property Kershaw sold under the hammer for $1.35 million on August 23.
The sale price achieved at the Hourn and Bishop Qld auction in Biloela is equal to about $4485/ha ($1817/acre).
The developed brigalow scrub property has heavy alluvial Kroombit Creek flats with about 36ha of leucaena, as well as good stands of bambatsi and panic. There is also 17ha under a centre pivot.
Water is supplied from two irrigation bores with a 152 megalitre entitlement, a stock bore, two dams, and a double frontage to Kroombit Creek, which has a small flood harvesting license.
Improvements include a three bedroom home, timber cattle yards, sheds and a workshop.
