With reduced numbers due to local isolated showers, just over 1000 head were penned at Emerald on August 25.
Scattered showers saw numbers subdued, with all the regular buyers present. Prices remained unchanged to slightly easier across all categories.
A mixed quality yarding was evident with cattle sourced from local areas and as far north as Collinsville.
Limited categories saw little change with cows and light weight weaner heifers experiencing the greater increase.
Bullocks 550-750kg made to 294c/kg to average 290 cents, steers 500-550kg made to 309c/kg to average 293 cents.
Meanwhile, steers 400-500kg reaching 333c/kg to average 303 cents, 3220-400kg steers made to 348c/kg to average 274 cents and steers in the weaner weight ranges made to 390c/kg to average 245 cents.
Heifers 300-400kg made to 340c/kg to average 291 cents, with weaner weight heifers making to 348c/kg to average 324 cents.
Cows over 520kg made to 250c/kg to average 249 cents, with cows 400-520kg reaching 249c/kg to average 241 cents. No cows & calves were penned this week.
