THE CQ Carcase Competition awards presentation was held in Rockhampton last night, and prizes were flowing to families from all over the region.
Walking away with the most successful exhibitor title was David and Julie McCamley, Palmal, Dingo.
The grand champion carcase was picked up by Duaringa Station, Duaringa, with Mark Howard and Bruce Donovan stepping up to accept the honour.
Other major winners included:
- Highest MSA index: Prentice family, Jamor, Emerald
- Highest lean meat yield carcase: Ward family, Bonovista, Milman
- Largest eye muscle: John Atkinson, Glen Avon, Yaamba
- Champion grainfed pen: Duaringa Station, Duaringa
- Champion grassfed pen: Lachlan Mace, Torilla, Stanage
- Champion grainfed carcase: Duaringa Station, Duaringa
- Champion grassfed carcase: David and Julie McCamley, Palmal, Dingo
