THE young man killed in a single vehicle accident at Croydon on Saturday has been identified as 20-year-old Damon McCoy.
Tragically, Mr McCoy’s father, Mike McCoy, found his son at the scene of the accident on Saturday night.
Mr McCoy said Damon’s death had left a “gaping hole” in the family.
Damon grew up with his parents, Mike and Noeline, and big sister Aysha at Rainscourt, Richmond.
Mr McCoy said Damon was his son, but he was also his best mate, and the fun-loving boy had grown into an exceptional man.
Damon had attended Nudgee College and had a keen interest in cattle.
The McCoy family had recently purchased the property near Croydon to use as a breeding block, with Damon overseeing the operation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service for Damon at 1.30pm, Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Rainscourt Station, north-east of Richmond, where Damon will be laid to eternal rest at his cherished family home.
