The 2016 Paradise Lagoons Campdraft has been postponed until August 11 to 14 due to heavy rainfall across Central Queensland this weekend.
A statement on the Paradise Lagoons Campdraft Facebook page says the site has received five inches (125mm) over the weekend and with more heavy rainfall predicted for the Central Queensland coastline this week, organisers elected to postpone the event, due to start outside Rockhampton on Wednesday.
“New nominations for the drafts are welcome and you can nominate now,” the statement reads.
“We appreciate everyone's understanding of the situation, and we will provide further information to competitors, sponsors, trade exhibitors and volunteers over the coming days.”
Queensland Country Life is a sponsor of the Paradise Lagoons Campdraft and will provide comprehensive coverage of the draft both online and in our print editions.
