RENOWNED artist Lyn Barnes will celebrate her sixty years and her ongoing artistic exploration of the life of outback Queensland in the new exhibition Sixty Little Pictures at New Farm's Graydon Gallery from August 4-14.
The exhibition of sixty pictures, predominately pastels on paper, will explore the flora and fauna, people and landscapes of Lyn's remote region to tell its vast stories.
Known and respected for her ability to communicate the unique character of outback Queensland, in Sixty Little Pictures, Lyn will present commanding smaller pieces and provide a new way for viewers and collectors to experience her depictions of landscape and life.
The exhibition will also showcase rock and steel sculpture by Mary Donnelly. Exhibition opening night will be at 6pm Wednesday, August 3.
