QUEENSLAND Outback Barbarians captain Tom Beattie (Sunshine Coast) has been ruled out of the all important clash with the Calgary Canucks on Thursday night.
Beattie damaged his wrist in a heavy tackle during Tuesday night's big, but tough win over Alberta team Red Deer Titans.
The experienced open side flanker's exceptional work rate will be sorely missed in the clash against the division one club, which comes less than 48 hours after playing in Red Deer.
Despite the injury, Beattie will remain tour captain. Cameron Knights (St George) and Tom Robertson (Mount Isa) have been named as the Barba's on field captains.
The No7 spot will now be shared by Brendan McKeown (Bundaberg) and Jackson Brown (Longreach), who both put in a big performances against Red Deer.
The run on team is: 1. Cameron Knights (c). 2. Joe Marshall. 3. Aaron Longbottom. 4. Tom Robertson. 5. Paul Tema. 6. Izak Holmes. 7. Brendan McKeown. 8. Andre Van Staden. 9. Rudi Wentzel. 10. Ross Morrissey. 11. Lachlan Conyers. 12. Brendan Ralph. 13. Adam Conway. 14. Jesse James. 15. Ayden Pyper.
The Outback Barbarians take to the field at 6.30pm on Thursday night (10.30am Friday Qld time.)
