THE Queensland Outback Barbarians have named arguably its strongest starting 15 for the clash with the Edmonton Clansman.
Saturday afternoon's match is expected to be the toughest encounter so far of the Canada/US tour and a big test of the tourists' resolve.
Apart from a few of the usual bumps and bruises, the Barbas go into the game injury free after three good hit outs during the past week.
The visitors looked slick during a solid 90 minute run on the Clansmen's rugby grounds in Edmonton this morning.
The starting line up is: 1. Aaron Longbottom. 2. Joe Marshall. 3. Angus Dunn. 4. Tom Robertson. 5. Paul Tema. 6. Izak Holmes. 7. Tom Beattie (c). 8. Andre Van Staden. 9. Rudi Wentzel. 10. Ross Morrissey. 11. Lachlan Conyers. 12. Brendan Ralph. 13. Jack Poplawski. 14. Jesse James. 15. Ayden Pyper.
It is understood the Clansmen have been putting in some extra training sessions and brought in some additional fire power for the clash.
Coach David Conyers said the three preceding games had provided a good platform for the game.
"The Barbas have come together very well as a team and the combinations are really starting to click," Conyers said.
"There has been a lot of focus on controlling the ball at the breakdown.
"The aim is always to play the free flowing rugby that the Barbarians have always enjoyed."
The Dyno Nobel Queensland Outback Barbarians and the Edmonton Clansmen kick off at 3pm on Saturday (8am Sunday Qld time).
