Crowds flocked to the 32nd annual Norco Primex Field Days held at Casino over three days last week.
General manager of Fairfax Rural Events, Kate Nugent said the Primex event had been very successful and had earned a reputation in the market place of delivering results for exhibitors.
“Farmers really appreciate the ability to be able to see and compare what manufacturers are doing to make equipment work better and harder and Norco Primex certainly answers that need,” Ms Nugent said.

“While our primary focus has, and will always be on the agricultural community, we are aware there is a growing need to cater for those with a broader range of interests, and we certainly have filled that need, as well.”
The event was officially opened by the Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister for Agriculture and Water Resources Barnaby Joyce.
Mr Joyce took the opportunity to use Primex as the platform to release the Coalition’s $240 million agriculture policy.
“When the Coalition came to office, we were determined to rescue agriculture from the policy backwater where Labor had placed it, develop a strategic plan for the sector and implement it,” Minister Joyce said.
“A stronger agricultural sector not only benefits regional Australia, but boosts the economy, creates more jobs and drives exports,” he said.
“Australia’s farmers contribute around $51 billion to our nation’s economy, including $41 billion in agricultural exports.
Minister Joyce also promised if the Coalition Government was re-elected to deliver a $1 million boost to Casino Beef Week to ensure the event continues to flourish and grow into the future.
Mr Joyce said supporting the annual event over the next four years would help generate millions of dollars for the local economy and others throughout northern New South Wales.
“The Northern Co-Operative Meat Company Casino Beef Week has become a real institution over the past 33 years and its continuing success pays big dividends for the agricultural sector and the broader regional economy,” Mr Joyce said.
