AMERICAN beef industry advocate Trent Loos says Donald Trump will win the US Election, not because he would necessarily make a good president but because Hilary Clinton is an unacceptable option.
Mr Loos, who runs a ranch in Sherman County, Nebraska, as well as appearing six days a week on radio stations across 22 states in America, said he believed agriculture would vote for Mr Trump rather than allowing Ms Clinton to take Washington.
That choice would also be made by the majority of Americans who recognised the US was being destroyed by out of control debt and poor policy decisions, he said.
"Hell, I don't even know what a trillion is. Do you?," Mr Loos said. "I'm on 600 acres (240 hectares). I can understand what that means. But a trillion dollars? Come on. That is just debt that is out of control." (A trillion is 1,000,000,000,000.)
Despite the apparent widespread opposition to Ms Clinton, the democrat appears on track to win the oval office. Betting agency sportsbet.com.au has her as the odd-son favourite at $1.50 with Mr Trump in second place on $2.75.
Mr Loos is one of America's best know beef industry advocates and has sought to counter misinformation used by extreme activist groups to attack the beef industry. He also runs the internet blog site ‘Truth Be Told’.
He has also sought to fight the erosion on property rights by Washington.
"We have already had a Clinton and that was a disaster for the beef industry,” Mr Loos said. "We simply cannot have have Hilary Clinton as president.”
