NEGOTIATIONS are continuing on the 55,800ha (137,884 acres) Central Queensland breeding property Lennox which was passed in on a vendor bid of $10 million at a Ray White Rural auction today.
Located 80km north of Jericho, the perpetual pastoral holding was auctioned with 3250 breeders and plant.
Marketing agent Peter Dowling, Ray White Rural, said three parties had registered to bid at the auction.
Lennox is regarded as a calf factory able to run 5000 to 6000 breeding cows.
The property is described as ironbark/box forest country with areas of brigalow and bendee influence. Some 27,720ha has been pulled and seeded to buffel and seca, including 4046ha in the past five years.
The property is watered by six bores and 15 dams. There is 200km of poly pipeline to five turkey's nests and 11 tanks feeding 57 stock troughs plus yards and the homestead complex. There are 12 main paddocks and seven holding paddocks with laneways to two sets of cattle yards. Other improvements include a six bedroom homestead, quarters, sheds and yards.
