Damp but grass-less paddocks saw cautious demand offered at Euroa store cattle sale on Wednesdaywhen a larger than anticipated 1500 head were penned.
A strong gathering of lot feeder orders supported the sale but were limited with the purchases and a small number of interstate orders were also returned but had only limited influence of the outcome.
Most steer lines on the day met competition based on levels of 300-350c/kg but with the effects of tight season prevalent the number of light weight classes far outnumbered those offering growth and weight.
A small selection of well bred heifers gained good inquiry from Goulburn Murray irrigators however seasonal-impeded lots generally met with limited interest.
