Increased numbers and a new sale date are the standout feature of this year's annual Glenisa Angus Sale, 1pm Friday May 13 at Glenisa, Glen Alpin, Queensland.
Vendors, Ced and Rowena Wise and family have increased catalogue numbers by nearly half on the previous years numbers (30 in 2015) and have brought forward the sale date to the new time slot.
The 2016 offering comprises 51 Black Angus bulls aged from 18 to 24 months with the majority being 18-months of age. Seven individuals will be offered as 24 to 26 months olds.
Seven sires are represented within the offering that have all been vaccinated with three day, blooded with three germ, five in one and vibrio. The entire team have been semen tested and have tested Pestivirus negative. The bull’s preparation is one of a silage diet of approximately three months. The entire sale team are all registered and carry current Angus Group Breedplan figures, scan data including live weight, scrotal measurements.
Run and grown out on local harder country, the bulls gut has been fully protected with a growing out period and they have been educated and handled and worked with dogs, horses and bikes. – Kent Ward
