A SMALL but enthusiastic group participated in the inaugural Genomix Charity Golf Event at the Toowoomba City Golf Club on Wednesday.
Genomix principal Bruce Arkins said there was a great mix of participants which incorporated agents, vendors, stud masters, cattle producers, potential buyers and partners.
“Our Genomix Charity Golf Event was a real success and raised $17,000 for beyondblue,” said Mr Arkins.
The teams were split into groups based on sponsors and thankfully not on ability as there was a huge variance in skill levels.
Teams included players from RSVP Droughtmasters, NAB Agribusiness, Think Office Technology, Oaklands Brangus, GDL and the Diamond Valley Brangus stud.
The GDL team enjoyed a memorable day after Mark Duthie was named best golfer and Harvey Weyman-Jones awarded the prize for the longest drive of the day. Other winners included the NAB Agribusiness Toowoomba team of Mal Porter, Ted Choyce, Ryan Johnson and David Krueger.
