The Lockyer Valley’s restored Bedford Fruiters truck took centre stage as Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s third visit to the renowned Sydney Royal Easter Show was officially launched.
Located in the Home, Garden and Lifestyle Pavilion, council’s stand was not only laden with the region’s freshest produce, but marketing collateral and giveaways too.
Acting mayor Tanya Milligan said visitors to the stand had shown strong interest in the Lockyer Valley.
“We have a prime position at the show, located next door to the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome and the crowds are dropping in to learn more about the region,” she said.
“Local farmers have jumped at the opportunity to have their produce on show and everything is pointing to a very successful outcome.”
It comes after the region fronted Sydney's Martin Place last Tuesday, armed with plenty of brochures.
“Celebrity chef Alastair McLeod and Laidley local Tony Tierney wowed the crowds with incredible food samples using Lockyer Valley produce,” Cr Milligan said.
