Over two days in excess of $1.15M changed hands as the annual February All Breeds Sale, CQLX, Gracemere came to a close. In total 236 head (bulls and females) sold to average $4420 on the way to recording a 75 percent clearance at auction.
The final days trade saw ten breeds go under the hammer where 132 bulls averaged $4420 to record a clearance at auction of 82 percent.
Complete clearances recorded in the Angus, Simmental, Romagnola and Limousin breeds. However, the sale day honours went to the Brangus.
The last bull into the ring, Doonside 2101 (S) (25-months) a grey unregistered entry from Bill and Kay Geddes, Doonside, Barmoya made $14,000. Buyer of the 876kg 25-month-old was Paul Dahl, The Cedars, Miriam Vale.
Moments earlier the Kime family, Amaroo Stud, Nebo sold their 910kg, 36-month-old, unregistered black Brangus herd bull for $13,000 to Barry and Jan Bauman, Tryphinia View, Dingo. In all 25 Brangus sold to set a $5060 average for a 78pc clearance.
Charbrays sold to $13,000 to average $4857, while the Simmental breed again enjoyed good demand with 20 setting a $4575 medium.
