Toomba sold for $7.4m
THE 47,500-hectare (117,373-acre) Charters Towers property Toomba has sold for $7.4 million. Estimated to carry 5000 mixed cattle, about two-thirds of the property can be grazed, with the balance basalt rock. The sale included 3500 Brahman cattle, plant and equipment. Improvements include a homestead, quarters, sheds, yards, nine bores, one dam, 26 paddocks and laneways.Toomba was previously offered for sale by tender in September 2011. Lorin Bishop from Elders handled the sale.
Amatunga passed in $3.5m
CLERMONT property Amatunga was passed in at auction on June 20 for $3.5 million to an undisclosed bidder from Charters Towers district. The 3740ha (9087ac) property 35km south-east of Clermont was offered with 450 top quality Droughtmaster cows with calves and weaners at foot plus 280ha of sorghum ready to harvest. Agents advised that negotiations with a party that expressed interest immediately after the auction.

Yollogey negotiations continue
NEGOTIATIONS are continuing on the Goondiwindi lifestyle property Yollogey, passed in for $850,000 on Saturday. The 236ha (583ac) property has a gracious homestead in established gardens, new steel yards, two paddocks and three dams.

Kangerong passed in $12.75
THE 22,400ha (55,350ac) freehold Charters Towers property Kangerong was passed in at auction on June 21 for $12.75 million. Offered by Petersen Pastoral Properties, the property was offered bare of livestock but with plant and equipment. Kangerong is estimated to run 9000 cattle and is subdivided into 30 paddocks and seven holding paddocks. Improvements include a formed road network. Kangerong is 142km from Charters Towers and has double frontage to the Basalt River.

Glenelg passed in $3.9m
THE 4407ha (10,890ac) freehold Wandoan property Glenelg has been passed in for $3.9 million to a local landholder.Before the auction the Queensland Government nominated $1m as compensation for a new rail corridor to go through the property. Located 38km north-west of Wandoan, the developed scrub country property is subdivided into 15 paddocks. Improvements include a homestead, cottage, sheds, yards and four bores. Glenelg was offered by receivers Deloitte.There were seven registered bidders. Bids started at $2.8m.

Bunda NT passed in $10m
REG Underwood's 178,000ha Northern Territory property Bunda was passed in for $10m on a vendor's bid at an auction in Darwin on June 22. The property in Victoria River district was offered with 10,900 cattle.

Myuna, Whitewood on market
RICHMOND properties Myuna, 19,598ha (48,429ac), and Whitewood, 7954ha (19,654ac) remain on the market following an auction on June 21. Myuna is now listed at $4.9m after being passed in for $3.5m to Geoff Fry, Inverleigh West, Normanton.Whitewood was passed in for $175,000 and is now listed at $2m. Whitewood was passed in to Lloyd Hick, Camooweal, who recently bought the adjoining property Cassilis. Located 55km south east of Richmond, the black soil downs properties are described as beautifully shaded and heavily grassed with Mitchell and Flinders with good stands of buffel. Now running more than 2500 head of cows through to bullocks, Myuna and Whitewood have an estimated safe carrying capacity of 3500 mixed cattle. Myuna has a homestead, quarters, sheds, yards, three bores and eight paddocks. Whitewood has four paddocks, a bore and steel yards.

Ranmoor sold
THE blue-ribbon 15,287ha (37,775ac) Richmond aggregation Ranmoor, Standby and Damper has sold for an undisclosed price to Corbett and Beris Tritton and family, the owners of neighbouring properties Silver Hills and Valley Downs. Offered by Stephen and Sally Stacey and family, the GHPL blocks are set up for rotational grazing and have very good infrastructure including flowing bores. The Staceys will concentrate on their expanding wholesale business interests. The 3328ha (8224ac) Maadi block, which was part of the Ranmoor aggregation was bought by a local businessman prior to the sale of the other properties. BLAIRMOOR Station, Winton, has been sold for $1.8 million bare to Peter and Jenny Woodhouse and family, Beeantha, Julia Creek. The 7162ha (17,698ac) freehold property was offered by Shane and Jodi Axford and Janis Madden, Goolma,Winton. The sale was handled by Scott Geary,TopX Richmond.
Hindles buy Balboa
THE second portion of the Roma property Balboa has sold to Rohan and Suzanna Hindle, Roma.The 1082ha (2674ac) block 20km south of Roma was listed for $1.3m after it was passed in at auction on May 2. The adjoining 675ha (1667ac) Scrubby portion sold shortly after auction to Michael and Anne Green at slightly more than the passed in price of $840,000. The vendors were Janice Colley and Mick Galdal. Balboa was marketed by Tony Gillett, Topx Roma.
