THE historic Jondaryan Woolshed came to life over the weekend for the inaugural Jackie Howe Festival of the Golden Shears.
Over 15,000 people attended the event, which celebrated Australia's exciting wool industry.
There was plenty to see and do, both inside and outside the shed, with fashion shows, traditional foods, sheep dogs and a shearing competition.
Daniel McIntyre, Glen Innes, won The Jackie Howe Trophy, in the thrilling shearing final, while The Jackie Howe Wool Handling event was won by Rachel Hutchinson, NSW.
Queensland Country Life's Mark Phelps and Melody Pedler were on hand to capture plenty of action and entertainment.
Working hard to feed the masses were the Jondaryan Woolshed damper ladies, Gayle Tonscheck, Goombungee, Laura Marshall, Caboolture, and Shirley Schwarz, Beaudesert. Click on this photo to see more pics in our online gallery.
