Police are appealing for public assistance after a 13-year-old girl was approached by a man in a vehicle whilst walking to school at Roma this morning.
Between 7am and 8am the girl was walking to school when she was approached by a man in a white 4WD on Borland Street.
The man reportedly asked the girl to get into the vehicle, telling her that her parents had sent him to pick her up.
The girl refused and the man left the scene in the vehicle.
Police have released a comfit image of a man they believe may be able to assist them with their investigations.
The man is described as Caucasian, chubby face, possibly aged in his 60’s, with short, balding white hair, white stubble beard and was wearing old glasses.
The vehicle is described as being a white 4WD wagon (Toyota Landcruiser or similar), with a silver bulbar, maroon and white QLD number plates, black roof racks, tinted windows and was old and dusty looking.
The girl was not physically injured during the incident.
