Stock Horses set for 41st sale at Dalby

All the action of one of the biggest horse sales in Queensland will kick of on the first Friday in December with the sale incentive and open draft.

Live music will fill the air at the renowned showgrounds and there will be a selection of food available throughout the day and evening for those attending.

Attendees are also advised there will be no camping fees incurred on site at the showgrounds for the duration of the sale weekend.

Trade vendors will be on site to help with specific industry needs with the sale weekend officially commencing on the morning of December 5.

The annual event will begin with society inspections of sale horses followed by the parade and cattle working demonstrations in lot order. 

Pre-work footage for each lot will be uploaded to the Society website immediately following each lot allowing those not in attendance to view the capabilities of the sale lot.

The sale is expected to see a quality line up of more than 260 registered Australian Stock Horses head through the arena.

For the first time in sale history, selling will begin Saturday evening with lots 1-50 registered approved ASH mares, geldings and stallions to go under the GDL auctioneers hammer in the sale arena.

Following up the first sales will be lots 51-266 on Sunday with the remaining quality line up of registered approved ASH mares, geldings and stallions.

Those attending the weekend sale will be rewarded with a fantastic night program of free entertainment including Double Dan Horsemanship followed by live music from Mik Oberle.
