The fifth annual Valorbrook Angus Bull Sale was held on property at Valorbrook Bell on Saturday September 26.
Principals Brett, Rana and Ashley Haager were pleased with the response, selling 59 bulls for an average of $4500 and achieving a top price of $10,000 twice at 89pc clearance.
The sale was attended by many repeat buyers bidding confidently to secure bulls for a variety of breeding programs.
Valorbrook Dynamite J57, an 862 kg son of Mohnen Dynamite, sold to Tigrigie Pastoral of Taroom for $10,000. The 24 month old bull scanned 10 and 15 with an eye muscle area of 120cm.sq and an IMF of 7.2 percent.
Selling for the equal top price of $10,000 was Valorbrook J47 which was purchased by Don and Prue Patch of Yamsion. His recorded scans were 8 and 14 with an eye muscle of 126cm.sq and an IMF of 6.3pc.
Rick and Alice Greenup of Kumbia purchased Valorbrook J177 and Lot 37 Valorbrook J148 both for $7000.
Other sales of note included Valorbrook J172 who weighed in at 766kg and recorded an EMA 138cm.sq to sell for $6500 to the Perrett Family of Kilkivan.
Valorbrook J150 sold for $7500 to the Hoare family of Kingaroy. Mungoven Farming of Kingaroy secured Lot 56, Valorbrook J227, for $6500.
