THE annual Rockhampton Show may have lacked in stud cattle entries due to Beef 2015, but it certainly made up for that in the quality of the judging.
The supreme champion bull was the massive red Brahman exhibit, Doonside Taser, exhibited by Jane Geddes, on behalf of her parents Bill and Kaye Geddes, Doonside, The Caves.
Doonside Taser, had earlier been sashed the grand champion Brahman bull under the judging eye of Denis Bourke, Burradoo Brafords and Brahmans, Meandarra.
Emerging from the 24 to 30 months class Doonside Taser caught Mr Bourke's attention, and he described him as a tremendous bull with length and a great temperament.
"He really has it all, the length, the bone, he is well balanced, and is powerful behind the hump and through the spine," Mr Bourke said.
Supreme champion female was Glenlands D Quote, exhibited by the Childs family, Glenlands Droughtmasters, Bouldercombe and held by Jason Childs, while Brendon Childs holds her bull calf at foot with judges, Fiona Noakes, Rock Wallaby, Marlborough and Denis Bourke, Burradoo, Meandarra and the Rockhampton Show Rural Ambassador, Kylie Hopkins, Circle Vista, Glendale.

In past years the Glenlands Stud has claimed the supreme awards in both the bull and breeders group, and this is the first win for a female award.
Glenlands D Quote will now compete at the Mt Larcom show in her final outing, before retiring to the paddock.
