A REDUCED version of the highly respected Paradise Lagoons campdraft consisting of three events still drew a sizable crowd of spectators and an impressive field of competitors.
The Landmark novice draft was won by Capella rider Steve Comiskey aboard Bill and Christine Matton's Freckles Spinning Cowgirl.
The eight-year-old Two Eyed Macho daughter enjoyed a successful weekend, winning the cut out trophies in the novice and incentive drafts and placing second overall in the incentive draft. The mare is out of Little Lanas Playgirl and recently won the 2014 Middlemount novice cut out.
"I bought her at the 2013 Paradise sale for $12,500 and in Jambin this year I offered her to Steve to draft," Mr Matton said. "He said he'd be very interested in campaigning her for me. I think Steve took a bit of notice of her after I placed second in the restricted open at Jambin. He'll take her to a lot more drafts than I will."
The Bentley's maiden event was won by Lexi Fitzgerald and Samson.
Associated with the 2014 performance horse sale, the 2015 Landmark incentive draft was won by NSW competitor Jock Weston and Serene Acres.
