SPRINGSURE horseman, Peter O’Neill, astride Roma, has claimed the holy grail of campdrapfting, the prestigious Warwick Gold Cup, as the week long Warwick Rodeo and Campdraft draws to a close.
Mr O’Neill finished on 264 points, just two points ahead of his closest rivals, Peter Lamont, riding Playin Harmonica, and Lindsay Knight, riding Murphy, with both on 262 points.
Equal fourth place were Troy Palmer, riding Jabell Shekera Spin, and Steve Comisky onboard Delta, both sitting on 261 points.
Mac Shann was placed sixth on two occasions, firstly riding Daddy’s Girl, and then Janet, alongside Wally Rea riding Annie, and they sat on 259 points.
