MONSTER scores and impressive finals summed up the 2015 Moranbah campdraft.
Celebrating 30 years of drafting in the area, guest speakers reflected on the results of years gone and the impressive results at this year’s event.
Wally Rea, The Overflow, Marlborough was one of original winners and after winning a total of 18 drafts in the years since, he made it 19 with another win this year in the Restricted Open with Tess.
Charters Towers rider, Will Durkin, Beenboona Station won the Maiden draft with his 7-year-old, Stanton Stud Black Breeze mare, Quebec.
The young rider also averaged the highest score of the weekend with 78.8 points after 15 runs.
Kerry Wallace, Brigalow, Clarke Creek combined with Amaroo Ima Acres to win the Ladies draft.
Amaroo is by Acres Destiny and won the highest cut out and the overall event.
Running red hot, Morgan Marks, Niagara, Clermont won the Open draft with a score run of 91, 91 and 92.
Combining with Miss Reality, a 12-year-old, Warrenbri Romeo granddaughter, the mare is owned by Alison Hall, Kennallywood Stockhorses, Ipswich.
Wrapping up the weekend in style, Nebo competitor, Sam Kime and Con Note won the Novice draft.
Cattle were donated for the weekend by Hugh and Sherri Philp, Wyena, Mt Coolon, Winchester Downs Station, Moranbah and Bill and Margo Fordyce, Mabbin, Moranbah.
