Dalby-Tara shooter Cameron McEwan and Kim O'Loghlen from Natives club in Brisbane shot possible scores at the Ipswich Rifle Club annual prize meeting on Sunday.
Cameron and Kim hit all 30 bullseyes to win the F open scope class and the open target rifle aggregate respectively.
The three-range match at 600 metres twice and 800 metres attracted 79 shooters, more than half of them contesting scope rifle events. Shooters had the best of conditions at 600 yards, with many caught by the challenging breeze at the final long distance range.
Cameron McEwan scored his possible 180 with 21 centres in the F Open scope class to beat his wife Julie who finished on 179 also with 21 centres. Julie is a member of the Queensland team which will contest the F Class National Championships in Brisbane next month.
Kim, a member of Natives Rifle Club, had a fine hit-out ahead of the Queensland Rifle Association Queens Prize at Belmont winning the A grade aggregate.
Graeme Bolland from Pacific and Pratten Rifle Club member Rob Bondfield both finished two shots down on 148, with Graeme taking second with 12 centre bulls to 11.
Rob Howie from Brisbane Mariners won the B Grade and Elyse Morrison from Ipswich was a convincing grade-breaking winner in C Grade.
Jeffrey Leung, a Natives member, won a shoot-off with Simone Noble from Ipswich to take out the strong F Standard scope class after both competitors finished on 176 with 10 centres.
Jason Mayers from Brisbane Central dropped just two shots to secure victory in the F Class target rifle aggregate by a shot from Cannon Hill's Mark Fairbairn.
