THE Queensland Regional and Remote Women’s Network (QRRRWN) begins its three-day state conference in Biloela this afternoon.
Titled Women Inspiring Women, the conference begins with industry tours for herb, beef, pork and squab in the region.
Conference goers will hear Ruth Venner at the official welcome tonight at the Banana Shire Art Gallery, where She Dreamt will be on exhibition.
The next two days are jam-packed with speakers and seminars, covering everything from rural women as change-makers in domestic and family violence, farm safety to women in leadership.
There will be talks on bush tucker, paediatric projects, women in politics, and research.
In the lead up to the conference, QRRRWN ran a Who's Gonna Do It For You? video competition, where first-hand accounts were submitted on dealing with drought. The entries can be viewed here.
Queensland Country Life will keep you up-dated throughout the conference, which runs from September 3-5.
