BREWARRINA, NSW, property Carramar has sold at auction for $2.425 million in another sign of a strengthening rural property market.
The sale of the well developed 9235-hectare (22,820-acre) property is equal to about $262.60/ha ($106.25/acre).
Carramar was auctioned as part of Tarrion Station in Dubbo on Friday.
The sheep and cattle property also offers cropping opportunities.
Post auction negotiations are continuing on the 18,325ha (45,282 acre) Tarrion parcel, which was passed in for $4.2m.
Both properties represent some of the best country in the Brewarrina district and combined are estimated to have carrying capacity of 17,000 dry sheep equivalents.
It is mostly level plains country with a diverse range of soils producing summer grasses and winter herbage.
The country is located south of the Barwon River and is subject to beneficial flooding.
Both properties have homesteads and excellent improvements including mostly renewed fencing.
