BUYERS turned out in force for David and Prue Bondfield's benchmark Palgrove Charolais and Ultrablack sale at Strathgarve, Dalveen, on Friday.
In all 112 Charolais bulls sold to a top of $35,000 to average $7933.
The 24 Ultrablacks sold to a top of $16,000 to average $8000.
Notably the 136-head catalogue sold to 81 buyers drawn from four states.
Sale topper was the 24-month-old poll Palgrove Jubilee by the Canadian sire Sir Gridmaker.
The high-performance bull sold to Frank Sorraghan, Wisconsin, Wagga Wagga, NSW.
Jubilee tested in the top five per cent for 200 day and 400 day weights, top 10pc for eye muscle area and top 20pc for all market indexes.

Second top price was the 24-month-old red factor poll-scur Palgrove Junction.
Junction is the first Evolution son to be offered by Palgrove. It recorded one of the heaviest weight gains in the sale draft.
Volume buyers were Dean and Rebecca Arnaboldi, Allanard, Jericho, who bought five bulls for an average $9200. The draft included the 22-month-old $12,000 poll scud red factor bull Palgrove Java.
The top Ultrablack at $16,000 was Palgrove Jetsteam J1002, a 23-month-old with 81pc Angus and 19pc Brahman content. The stylish sire by Belview Yanco went to Midge Thompson, Aussie Land and Livestock, Kingaroy.
