FOOT traffic was strong at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on Tuesday for the first day of the Heritage Bank Ag Show field days.
Ag Show CEO Damon Phillips said it had been a solid start to the three-day event.
"They came in early, which was positive and day one numbers have been similar to on par with previous years," he said.
"The campdraft has got underway and been very popular."
Excel Agriculture sales manager Brian Moran said they had a steady flow of people through their site on day one.
"Ag Show has been quite good actually this morning," he said.
"It's been very positive here today with the people and we've quite enjoyed it."
Excel Agriculture is a Queensland owned family company and has been in business for more than 80 years.
They supply a range of row crop and broadacre farming equipment and their factory and spare parts division are based in Toowoomba.
Mr Moran said they have attended Ag Show for the past 18 years and their VT110 Series 3 Planter Row Unit had attracted interest at this year's event.
"We've got VT110 unit here - it's got a double disc and a tine all in one unit," he said.
"When the moisture is really shallow you can plant with the double disc so you can get on the ground a lot earlier. When you need to moisture seek you can put the tine down.
"You can also put the double disc to one side of the unit and you can fertilise and plant all in one pass."
